Dinner en Blanc
Last Friday night EWW and I attended the Dinner en Blanc in South Bend. The pop up "flash mob" style dinner emulated the famous event in Paris. We were asked to come in all white and bring specific foods and wine as well as all white linens. We had an amazing evening and even made a few new friends! At the end of the night we sent lit paper lanterns into the night sky and it made for a beautiful sight!

Fall Recipe: Roast Pork Edition
I had never cooked pork before but this Martha Stewart Pork Roast recipe looked delightfully delicious for fall and very simple. I am always looking for recipes that will serve 6 or 8 so EWW and I can eat leftovers as our week gets busier.

We started with a trip to the South Bend Indiana Farmers Market to get apples and sweet potatoes but I'm a sucker for fresh flowers and they always have the best fare for the best deal.

My roasting pan situation is pretty dire, but this one did the trick. Not pictured is the gravy that was included in the recipe. I substituted gluten free flour as I have celiacs and it was absolutely delicious!

Oh What A Summer...
As I relaunch my blog the temperatures are still scorching but it's past labor day and I officially call this fall. Before I break out the boots and sweaters It's time to reflect on the summer of 2013. A lot as happened since Memorial Day and it was an incredible season but finally being moved into our home I feel a huge sigh of relief.

Tartans and Bows and Diamonds, oh my!
With the many events that are coming up on my social calendar, I peeked into my closet to see what I was working with. I have a few dresses from J Crew last season and last holiday that I love and can't wait to wear again but I am in need of a few new dresses and accessories. I'm normally very minimal on jewelry so a great new clutch and an amazing pair of shoes that will get me through the season are a must.
I've been slightly obsessed with Devon Baer after stumbling upon her jewelry line at Sherman Pickey in Georgetown D.C. last spring but have recently learned shes started designing clothes. I checked her website and instantly knew the dress I wanted for the Christmas party that I'm hosting. Add in the J Crew Viv Pump and Double Bow Clutch in Black and voila! the outfit is complete, maybe add a little sparkle (diamond earrrings anyone?)
